SEMA 2012 came to the Las Vegas Convention Center with a bang. In the parking lot across from the Las Vegas Convention Center, Andretti Sports Marketing transformed that parking lot into a racetrack for the GLOBAL RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP.

In-House Production working with Andretti Sports Marketing, Source 1 Events and Freeman, we were  able to support there needs. In-House Production was asked to supply platforms and help with the labor to install for the guest to give




them a great place to watch the race. In-House Production supplied 336' of platforms 12' wide and 12" high and then 336' of platforms 24" high by 12' wide. This was a nice two (2) tier platform with front step-up's and handrails. Source 1 Events then covered the platforms with Tents.

We also added a 16' x 20' platform that was 8' tall and attached to the 8' platform was a 16' x 20' platform that was 16" high. It had stairs, handrails and places to put banners. This was a great platform for Cameras and Judges to judge the race from..

As we sit around with nothing to do, I thought that we could take a photo of our PLATED ALUMINUM STAGE TRUSS. We have 12" x 12" by 2', 30", 3', 4', 5', 6', 8', and 10' long. We have 20.5" x 20.5" by 18", 20", 3', 4', 5', 6', 8', and 10'. We carry PRE-HUNG TRUSS, CORNER BLOCKS, SLEEVE BLOCKS FOR CLIMBERS, TOWER TRUSS AND ALL THE HARDWARE THAT CAN BE USED.

SHAKESPEARE RENTS TRUSS & LIGHTING

WEEK 1

SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SPEND A OCTOBER NIGHT. Sitting in a Henderson city park with Friends and Family and watching local actors and actresses perform SHAKESPEARE. What could be better.

WEEK 2

HENDERSON PARK & RECREATION working with AVI and In-House Production to bring Lighting, Sound and Staging to the park. Bring lighting to a small part of the Park.

4 weeks, 4 different locations. Friday we started to load in the Staging, Truss System, Lighting and Audio. Henderson Parks & Recreation would bring in Power Generator, Tents for Dressing Rooms and Restrooms. Saturday the Production Company would bring  to the park, all the Sets and place on the stage. By afternoon Rehearsal would happen and at 7pm, the sun is down and the performance would start.

WEEK 4

WEEK 3

By 11 pm, the performance would be over. Down comes the Lights, Truss, Stage, Sets, Sound and within several hours, the park was empty and we were ready for the next week. We left the park as beautiful and clean as when we first stepped into the park.
Week 4 was at Lake Las Vegas. The first part of Saturday was a Car Show which made for a fast set-up SHAKESPEARE. We made curtain.

WEEK 1 AND BARBECUE

The first week was the largest of the event. This was done on the front area of Henderson City Hall, next to Henderson Convention Center. This large Ground Support System and Staging Set-Up was used for 2 events. The first was Shakespeare in the Park at City Hall. The next week was used for Henderson Barbecue  This filled up Waters Street for the day. Live bands played for the entertainment of those attending the barbecue. Henderson Parks and Recreation knows how to through an event.

VIDEO WALL AND STAND FOR OUTSIDE

Freeman AV from Seattle had an event in Las Vegas. They needed to hang a 26' by 16' Video Wall Outside for this Event. Freeman AV Seattle office called the Freeman AV Las Vegas office to find out who could help with this project. Freeman AV office said to give Pat at In-House Production a call.They should be able to help out.

22' LEGS WITH 30' SPAN

Freeman AV Seattle call and asked if we have a way to hang their Video Wall outside. We at In-House Production said we have just what you are looking for. A freestanding, 2 leg tower truss system that will work for your event.

20' BY 11' VIDEO WALL

In-House Production took Tower Truss Legs which were designed for that down-ward force, 20.5" Spigoted truss to give less flex when holding the video wall, 1 ton motors that fit right-into the 20.5" truss and base-plates that could be nailed to the ground just in-case the wind came up. It is never is windy in Las Vegas. The In-House production crew hung the video wall, lifted the video wall to the proper height needed for the event. Then they places the stage in-front of the video wall for that special out-side look.

At the end of the day. It was a Great look for a Great Event. Weather was nice, Look was nice and it was a GREAT EVENT. Thank You Freeman AV Las Vegas and Seattle for letting us have a part of your event.

IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION IN SEATTLE

IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION, working with HORN INTERACTIVE and MICHAEL THUNEY OF PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES, made this RIOT GAMES LEAGUE OF LEGENDS EVENT work at the WASHINGTON STATE CONVENTION CENTER and CONFERENCE CENTER.

In-House Production won the bid for all extra Stagehand labor used for this event on the 6th floor at the Convention Center. Working with IATSE Local 15 of Seattle, In-House Production was able to supply Qualifies Stage Technicians such as Stage Carpenters, Stage Electricians/Lighting, Auto Visual Technicians. They made the job look easy.

StageHouse of Las Vegas built all Stage Decorations, Custom Screens and Platforms used to get that special look. 4Wall took care of all lighting and Creative Technology took care of Audio and Video Gear and Presentation.


 As you look down through the pictures you will see the look that made this show come together. At the end of the day, With the team Michael Thuney put together, the crew did as they know how to do, put on a great event. They team works together enough that they know what each other needs before asking.


In-House Production, Working with Brent Armstrong, took care of all Rigging and Rigging Hardware and Equipment. In-House Production supplied all Trussing, Chain Motors and all Special Hardware for this Ballroom Hang. If you have ever rigged in the Seattle Convention Center, GES is all over any rigging gear that comes into the building. GES looks for all engineer stamps, engineering drawings, and go over all hang point weights. This is not a bad thing. All In-House Production Equipment meet there Rigging Inspection and the Rigging went UP.  

Kelly Whitlock of our Texas Office took over the crew Sign-In and Out and keep daily labor cost so we stayed in Budget for the days the extra crews were needed.

THOMAS & MACK GRID

GREAT PLACE FOR A WORKING GRID
What an Opportunity for In-House Production to work with some of those largers companies when it comes to Construction, Install and Rigging Design. I would like to say Thank You to Nicholas Gushue with Matrin Harris Construction for invinting us to be a part of the NEW GRID INSTALL at the Thomas and Mack Arena. I would also like to say Thank You to David Piccola with Atlanta Rigging Inc. Atlanta was the Design behind the 20" by 24" Aluminum Grid,  how and where it hang above the building cable knuckles, and supervision to install their design.

Nicholas at Martin Harris won the bid. Nicholas went to Atlanta Rigging Inc for the design of the grid, knowing that Atlanta Rigging Inc had the back ground of designing large Grid Structures for Arenas.

Nicholas then came to In-House Production, a local Las Vegas Stagehand Labor Company that is licensed by the State of Nevada Contractors Board, with 2 Contractors Licenses to put together that Special Rigging Crew, work with Atlanta Rigging Inc for the install. In-House Production had an estimated 20 Riggers, Loaders, Pushers and Ground guys working throughout the job.

Atlanta Rigging Inc sent out Scott Ward to work in the air and David Middleton stayed on the ground to make sure the right parts went up to the crews in the air. Both did a great job. Some of the parts were big and heavy. Not our normal event install. Things like 80 pound Special Custom Built I-Beam Clamps, 7/8" and 1" Aircraft Cable, Turnbuckles the size of small cars.

Andrew Fulton, the Thomas and Mack in house Rigger worked with Atlanta Rigging Inc from the beginning when all there was, was taking measurements for the design of the Grid, then working with Martin Harris and In-House Production crews to execution a safe and complete job for Matt Ewing/ the Thomas and Mack and Martin Harris.

Atlanta Rigging's design looks and will work great. It will take a bilding that was hard and ugly to rig in, to simplifed and easy to rig from, for that event. Half of the building is simplifed. The other half is still hard and ugly.

Thank you Martin Harris, Thank You Atlanta Rigging, Gread Job. Thank You Matt Ewing for taking care of us as we used your building, and Thank You to the Crew of In-House Production for a great job.

New Truss Delivered to In-House Production. In-House Production spent a little money and ordered NEW TOMCAT TRUSS. This is the first part of our changes we are doing here at In-House Production. We have New 12" x 12" x 10' by 8', 5 Way Corner  Blocks and 5 Way 20.5" Corner Blocks. All this truss is added to our In-House Existing Stock Rental Truss.

In-House Production will also be changing all of In-House Production CM Chain Motors from Double Hubble to 7 PIN SOCO Cables. We tryed something new. We have Pelican Case 8 Way Controllers from Applied Electronics heading our way with 25' and 100' Remote Extension. Peleican Case will be a change from the ATA Cases we have had. Hope it works. When done, Motors and Controllers will be able to work with several other companies in Las Vegas who have changed over to 7 pin cables.

Speaking about ATA Boxes. We have had several of our 1/2 Ton CM Chain Motors without Cases. So as the Last Part of the changes, we ordered new ATA Cases for our CM 1/2 Ton Motors. We stayed with out color and ordered ATA Motor Cases in YELLOW. YES YELLOW.  We call it SAFETY YELLOW. --SAFETY FIRST-- Cases have been ordered from Pro-Pak in Las Vegas. They work with us. We are always changing or trying new things, so we went from a 2 Chain Motors Per Box to 3 Chain Motors. The boxes will stay the same size outside as our Double Brake Chain Master ATA Box. This works for stacking and storing or shipping. It great when it all fits.

LOADING DOCK PLATFORM

PLATFORMS.......As you look at the photos, you will see a building with 2 large loading doors. With most loading door you have a loading dock. "SO WHERE DID THE LOADING DOCK GO"  We hid it. When you need to COVER a loading dock, or anything to have a flat floor, Call In-House Production. We have custom steel platform frames with wood tops, and all different lengths of 1-1/2" steel round tube legs with adjustable feet up to 6". We also have the skilled and trained labor that can cover that dock ramp or even add that custom dock ramp for a dock or even larger dock.

We have Platforms/Decking. Our platforms are able to carry a large point load with adjustable legs to fit that not so flat ground for your Special Occasion.

FREE STANDING SPEAKER HANGING SYSTEM

When that special time comes, and you need to hang those Speakers, or Anything from one point, and there is only air to hang from, call In-House Production. In-House Production is able to offer that One Point "SKY-HOOK" to hang that one thing anywhere. Pools, Yards, Parks, Convention Space, Parking Lots, Lake, River or in the middle of the Desert, Orchards, Ball Fields, Horse Corrals, Anywhere you need a "SKY-HOOK".

In-House Production's "SKY-HOOK" can carry 1800 pounds up to 30' high with Wind Loads to 35 mph with standard setup. "SKY-HOOK" can hang that 4'-0" wide by 2'-6" deep by 8'-0" tall cabinet with no problem. After winds of 35 mph, plan to have the item hanging from the "SKY-HOOK" lowered to the ground.
